Breakthrough Breast Cancer is the UK’s leading breast cancer charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research and awareness. We initiate and support research which ultimately aims to eradicate breast cancer by discovering the causes of the disease, finding methods of prevention and developing new treatments. We also promote breast cancer education and awareness among the public, policy makers, health professionals and the media.
Trust fundraising forms an important part of our income generation plans and it is therefore essential for us to have top quality, skilled trust fundraisers, which are in relatively short supply. Bill Bruty and Trust Fundraising Ltd have trained three people within Breakthrough’s trust and major donor fundraising team in recent years. The course offers an excellent grounding in these fundraising disciplines and the principles of good fundraising. It also provides the participant with a ready made network of peers.
