The Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is a world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre, based in London, UK. The Museum cares for more than 80 million specimens spanning billions of years and welcome more than five million visitors annually, using its unique collections and unrivalled expertise to tackle the biggest challenges facing the world today.

In March 2019, we developed a two-day in-house version of our Bid Writing Boot Camp for the Natural History Museum in London. It was attended by 18 people drawn from the corporate, trust and HNWI fundraising teams. We covered how to build a bid writing team and introduced a wide range of writing techniques drawn from George Orwell to Homer. It was a highly interactive course and we used real examples of Natural History Museum funding proposals in order to practise new skills.

“Thank you very much for a hugely engaging and productive few days training. I know the whole team found it really useful and have all found the practical tips easy to implement. I can already see how they are putting things into action when planning for Museum fundraising campaigns and proposals. It would be great to keep in touch and we’ll keep you posted on success.”
