Visionary Sustainability in the African Funding Landscape

AS THE MOMENTUM increases for localisation within funding and partnerships, we are delighted to introduce the work of four of our African clients.  Each one of these organisations is an inspirational example of social innovation and each one demonstrates an awesome journey to sustainability.  This is a rare opportunity to meet these organisations together in the UK.

We will be learning from:

Susan Babirye, Deputy ED of the Kabbubu Development Project – which has an integrated approach to community development, investing in healthcare, education and economic empowerment in Uganda.

Teresa Njoroge, Founder and Director of Clean Start – a social enterprise that works with women, girls and children impacted by the criminal justice system, to restore dignity and hope for successful reintegration.

Mary Helda Akongo, The Fundi Girls Program Manage  and Solomon King Benge, Founder & Executive Director of Fundibots, based in Uganda – who’s mission is to accelerate science learning in Africa and our vision is to see Africa transformed through science.

Ian Tarimo, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Tai Tanzania – a youth-led NGO that uses storytelling to inspire social behavioural change.

If you want to gain an insight into how emerging organisations can grow from seed to scale, so that you can improve your selection and support for local organisations, then please join us.

Each of these organisations has been part of the African Visionary Fellowship of the Segal Family Foundation – they are testimony to the approach of this award winning funder.

Doors open at 4pm and we commence the presentations and discussions at 4.30pm.  We will have an informal drinks reception from 6-7pm.  Places are very limited.

Time&Place: 4.30pm to 7pm, 15 April 2024 The Feeny Room The Africa Centre 66-68 Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0BL
